Rock Group Programs

R&R group classes give students the opportunity to experience and learn how to play in a band.  They will learn how to collaborate, work together as a group, and also take on individual roles. Each group will consist of at least 4 students based on age and skill level playing their instrument of choice.

Classes are lead by one of our instructors, who will help give the students the essential skills they need to play with a band. Guest instructors will also come on selected dates to provide additional specialized instruction. Students will learn, write, and record songs, understand charts, learn about gear and audio equipment, create a set list, and most importantly work with other musicians.

In addition, each program will have a live performance booked for the band at a local venue that will be held at the end of the session.

Students will receive a digital mp3 copy of their performances.

Activities will include:

• WORKING IN A BAND
• LEARNING AND WRITING SONGS
• GEAR SETUP AND BREAKDOWN
• MUSIC THEORY AND HISTORY
• LEARNING RECORDING TECHNIQUES
• IN STUDIO LIVE BROADCAST
• LIVE CONCERT PERFORMANCE
